Lois Requist received her B.A. & M.A. in English/Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. A bridge player, writer, traveller, bicyclist, hiker, she’s also politically interested and active. She enjoys being a mother and grandmother, as well as spending time with a wide variety of friends. She aims to make the most out of every day and the rest of her life. Her background includes being an active writer for 25 years and holding various positions involving marketing and promotions. As Executive Director of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, in Lafayette, California, for six years, promotion of the community and of special events was a primary part of her job. She continued to work with that organization after leaving the director’s position, doing public relations for the annual car show. As a volunteer, the author had the public relations portfolio for the League of Women Voters of California and is currently one of six at-large member of the League of Women Voters of the United States Task Force on Arms Control.
